WHAT IS DIAL A RIDE?

Dial A Ride is a Sage Stage service that provides door to door shared ride transportation that operates within 10 miles of Alturas. You can use Dial A Ride for all your transportation needs. You can visit a friend, to go to a movie, go shopping, and meet business, medical or education needs.  Alturas Dial A Ride provides service to any location within 10 miles of Alturas including Modoc Estates and Cal Pines.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS?

Dial A Ride operates weekdays Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
Modoc Estates and Cal Pines Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
Schedule your pick up and return trips within these hours. If you have to cancel a trip please be courteous to others and cancel without penalty at least 1 hour before an individual trip and 1 day before a subscription trip. If a delay is expected please call (530) 233-3883.
Routes and travel times vary by demand, weather and road conditions. Allow extra time, busses vary by 15 minutes (arriving earlier or later).

WHO MAY USE DIAL A RIDE?

Alturas Dial A Ride provides local transportation service to all Alturas area residents.  Rides are scheduled on a first come first serve basis. However, priority is given to trips to healthcare appointments if they are scheduled in advance.

HOW DO I GET REGISTERED?

No registration necessary.  Subscription trip service is available for routine trips (to work/school) with some limitations.
